Laying A Foundation
The most life-changing choice we’ll ever make is not just surrendering our plans, but our entire life
to God. The Bible says,
For this is how God loved the world:
He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16: (NLT)
Once our relationship is set right with God, we can surrender our daily life and all its circumstances. Because of the cross, God and man are no longer separated, and they can walk together.
My personal story of coming to the end of myself and reaching out to God can be found on pgs. 59-66 of my book The 30-Second Prayer That Changes Everything.
If you are ready to surrender your life to Christ so you can walk in personal fellowship with Him, make the following prayer your own by praying it from your heart:
God, I admit I’m a sinner.
[Trying to live life on my own terms.]
I believe Jesus’ death on the cross paid the penalty for my sin.
[Thank You, Jesus, for paying that price for me.]
Jesus, please forgive me of my sins and come into my heart.
[I want to be in continual fellowship with You.]
Be my Savior and the Lord of my life.
[I am so grateful that You saved me from myself.]
Thank You for giving me this fresh, new beginning.
[And please help me live for You—every day of my life.]
Amen.
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, you have just called upon the name of the Lord. Romans 10:13 says, “Anyone who calls on the named of the Lord will be saved.”

Saved from what? Saved from the guilt of your past sins, saved from having to live your daily life on your own, and saved from death and destruction.
What are we saved to? Saved to peace with God, saved to fellowship with Him while you live upon this earth, and saved to eternal life with Him in the hereafter.
